I had such a great time with Nicole and her family! Her BFF and her BF also came along. We wanted to really capture all the people in Nicole's life that made her senior year so special. Although, I did kneel down into a pile of fire ants (again), and had 38 bites, yep, I counted them! Ouch. Looks like I have a funky disease. I still had a great time. :-)

Plans for next year: My senior year I’ll be running cross country and track. I’ll also be vice president of the American Sign Language club and a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I’ll attend Stephen F Austin in fall of 2010 and continue to run cross country. I plan to major in Deaf Education.

What will you miss most from high school? My friends and boyfriend

Most embarrassing thing that happened to you at school? My skirt was a few inches too short to be dress code appropriate so I had to go home to change. It had been pouring rain so I got soaked on the way to my car. I drove home and changed then went back to the school but by the time I got into the building, I was soaking wet and looked like I had just jumped into a pool. By the time I was dry, school was over.

If you could have lunch with anybody, dead or alive, who would it be? Audrey Hepburn

Most important lesson you learned from high school? Take good notes, do the homework, don’t take sides in arguments, be caring and kind but never harsh or a push over.

Well, here I go... I decided that I wanted to make my blog a bit more personal. Even if no one reads it, at least I'll feel better knowing I put it out there. So humor me. :)

I've felt like I've had a heavy heart lately; where nothing really made sense, when you feel like you are living the same day over and over again... When friends kind of come and go out of your life. You wonder if there is really anyone, any other mom out there, any friend, that you can REALLY trust and will really always be there for you, no matter what. I started to question myself, my life and what I'm here for.

So, I started to pray. At the time, it felt like that's "all" I could do. The only thing left to do to get some answers. Just for simple peace. A piece of mind, in this busy life that I live. I wanted to be super-mom, super-wife, super-photographer, super-friend. I realized that all those things I wanted to be, were turning me into just the opposite. It's simply not the same if you aren't living for the right reasons.

I realized that I stay up way too late, tossing and turning and worrying about what life will bring me tomorrow, what I have to accomplish to be better than the rest, that I indulge in life's guilty pleasures a bit too much, I work way too many hours, I edit too much, I pick working over spending more time with my family and being with my children... All for what? Being tired the next day and doing it all over again and still being left empty?

It's truly amazing what prayer can do. I started realizing that I have relied on so many other people (and things) for my happiness, that there it was all along. Just me and God. And then I realized, prayer wasn't the "only" thing I could do, it's the BEST thing I can do.

And then He reached out and he held my hand. Tightly.

Walk with me Angie, put your trust in me, let me be your best friend, spend too many hours learning about me, I will set you free. And that's just what he did.

HE set me free.

Free to live without worrying about being the perfect mom, or wife, so long as I love unconditionally, or how others around me have more money and "things" than I do, so long as I'm happy and rich in HIM.

Here's what I know: that I don't know much after all. But, I do know I love HIM with my whole heart. That people around me will judge me for it, but that's ok, because I have faith; something living in me that so deeply overflows and overcomes my worldly fears and washes away all my tears. It's something that no amount of money can buy, something I can feel living within me, yet can't touch... but I have it, and for that, I AM FREE! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Here's what else I know, I LOVE my family. They are my reason, they are my life, they bring me so much joy and fulfillment and sometimes I feel unworthy of it. So, today I will spend way too much time smiling at my two babies, laughing and praying for our health and thanking God for all this love around me.

Here's to wishing we all carve our angels from the marble today and set them free,

My husband Tyler and my youngest, Ty. (Can't believe he's going to be 2 in November!)

The best parents and grandparents anyone could ever ask for.

And, last but not least, Tyler's mom and the boys "Gigi", Debbie- (Thank you for stopping by just to bring the boys "allergy free" pillows today, in hopes that maybe they'll help their allergies and bringing me eye drops because I mentioned my eyes kind of burned. :0)

It's pretty sad that I don't have one current picture of her. Picture time!

The laid back feel of classes, college courses seem scary. Friends. Knowing everyone.

But really, having to shove your way through the halls....Best way to make it to class on time was to find a linebacker and follow closely behind.

Personal Style:
Unique. My own personal preferences tend to lean towards "rocker".

Most embarrassing thing that happened to you at school?
Freshman year everyone would hang out in the gym before the first bell. Well, one day our volleyball practice was running late, so we were doing punishment running in front of basically my entire class....I tripped, fell on my face so hard my nose bled. The same thing happened my Senior year during the Gov. Fitness test, minus the nose bleed....Yeah I'm kinda really super clumsy.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
A radiation therapist with a loving family....still going to metal shows with Casey Daine.

Favorite music/bands:
Poison the Well( I once almost took out security to get a drumstick),
But I will listen to just about anything before passing judgment.

If you could have lunch w/anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
Whoever invented Ramen noodles.

Most important lesson have you learned from high school?
It's better to improve upon all of the broken pieces than to hurt yourself trying to fix things back to the way they were. After all, stained glass windows are beautiful.

Bacon: DFW Model Pet Winner

You may remember my dear friend Kasi from here. Well before our session, while Kasi was getting glammed up, I took Bacon outside for a mini-session and while he snorted away like a pig, I snapped the pics below:

Kasi submitted the above picture of Bacon into DFW's Model Pet Contest and HE WON!! Unfortunately, they had to use their own photographer, BUMMER! But, nonetheless, he still won! And we are so proud of him! Go Bacon! We always knew he'd be a supermodel and now he'll grace the stands tomorrow, July 16th, on the cover! So be sure to pick up a copy.

Allison & Rob: Maternity

I had the pleasure of meeting Allison and Rob this past Saturday for an early morning session. I just couldn't wait to blog the pictures, so I've been working all day trying to get them done to send to the happy, expecting couple.

Allison is 35-36 weeks and I just envy her tiny belly, I was about her size at 5 months! I know I say this all the time, but I REALLY do have the best job in the entire world, because I get to meet people like these two! They are so kind, warm, happy & friendly, just what every baby deserves coming into this world.

Thank you both so much for allowing me in your home and for all your kindness. I can not wait to meet your precious baby and have the honor to take his/hers first pictures!

Sara and Mischa: Wedding

Sara and Mischa are the sweetest couple! Mischa has to be one of the nicest guys ever, he had a smile on his face all day and his love is so apparent for Sara, it's just so sweet. They wed at their cozy home and we were there to capture all the love.

They had the prettiest flowers placed everywhere around the house, the colors, the smell... it was perfect! Sara's ring was also Mischa's great grandmothers, how lucky is she!

Mischa was such a natural in front of the camera... This is their garden and it's just so cute. So while his bride was getting ready, we took a stroll around the garden and Mischa even had a little taste! :)

Hi friends!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be available for weekday shoots starting next week in Ft. Worth and close surrounding areas. It's best to do these sessions early morning or right before sunset for the best lighting.

Weekday shoots are $275.00, opposed to our weekend rate of $300.00.

This includes the following sessions:

Family, Newborn, Maternity, Senior, Children & Engagement. (I am available for Boudoir and Bridal sessions for our standard weekend rate.)

All sessions include the CD with 40-50 fully edited images, printing release form and your choice of location, or I'd be happy to suggest one.

A Sweet Backyard Wedding: Sara and Mischa

We have enjoyed meeting and working with Sara and Mischa. They are so genuine, kind and so low maintenance! As Sara said, they are definitely the atypical couple...During the short time we have spent knowing these two, we were able to witness their sincerity and true love for each other. No over the top wedding would be suitable for this down to earth couple...instead an incredibly personal and romantic ceremony on a Sunday morning in their backyard was perfect. The rain held off and created the perfect setting for the ceremony. Sara's mom made the most gorgeous spread of food and deserts...it was refreshing to meet such a wonderful couple.

April & Isreal get hitched!

I just want to start off by saying this was such a fun group of people and they had us constantly laughing! April and Isreal are definitely so in love and will have an amazing marriage. It was so sweet to see them so happy on their wedding day with all the kisses and affection for one another. During the reception they played the video of the proposal, had delicious food, great music, and most importantly they made it a point to give thanks and devotion to God. To see this type of love is what makes our job amazing.

All in all, everything went well and we got some awesome shots! Here is a sneak peak...stay tuned for the rest!

Hi, my name is Angie and I'm an addict. I'm addicted to making other people look and feel beautiful. :-) For as long as I can remember, I've been doing my girlfriends hair and make-up. It's such a great feeling, I just can't explain it. When I started learning photography, I realized that I could incorporate everything I knew about hair and makeup and art and use it in almost every shoot I did. I quickly found a new passion. I spend everyday finding myself thinking about art and painting and photography. I wake up thinking what can I create today, who can be my model, what can I photograph, what can I paint... Some nights I can't sleep, because I'm critiquing my own work, or going over different poses that I might use, or just so eager to wake up and edit pictures. Yes, I am crazy and it can sometimes be exhausting (and prob. annoying to some) and I think I might have a problem. But, It is my passion and I am so in love with photography. I guess there are worse things to be addicted to, right? I just wanted to share this because I know Britt is passionate about what we do too and we put our heart and soul into every shoot and we LOVE LOVE LOVE what we do.

Enough rambling...

For those who don't know, Brittany is my cousin, my best friend and my lovely Posh business partner. (Who by the way is single guys, you know our email lol- How does that happen anyways?) Britt agreed to model for me- YAY, so after a little hair and makeup, we went out to a top secret location for the shoot. I was determined to make her look and feel as beautiful as she is in real life in these photographs. The light was amazing and the old barn was just an added bonus.

She totally rocked the shoot and the pictures came out a-maz-ing.

On to the pictures... Britt, you are gorgeous, thanks for being the bestest friend a gal could ever ask for.

I can't believe it's almost a new year AGAIN... Seems like I just celebrated New Years, even though I can't remember what I did....Guess it wasn't too exciting.

Britt and I are SO excited for 2009, we have a wedding lined up pretty much every month for the first half of the year, (two in some months!) and one in September. And it's not even Jan. yet!

So, I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU. We are so incredibly thankful for everyone who believed in us, trusted in us to let us fix their hair and do their makeup in 2008, every awkward pose that rocked the camera and allowing us in all of your lives to capture some really fantastic moments. We have SO much we want to conquer with Posh, it's truly been a blessing.

I'm finally getting around to posting the rest of my family pictures. It's been a long time since we've taken any, and still didn't get all the ones I wanted..... but, I thought it'd be neat to share some of my personal family pics with ya'll, since i'm always posting everyone's family, but my own. :-)

I really do have the best family, my parents are completely involved in my both of the boys lives (my youngest, Ty, is 1 & Ethan, is 2.5 years old.) They HAVE to see them every week or both parties start to go a little insane. Ethan has to call them everyday... The other night Ethan woke up in the middle of the night crying, so I went in his room and he told me to lay down with him, so I managed somehow to find space beside him on his toddler-sized bed.... anywho, he was dozing off back to sleep and was saying "beeccckkyy, joee joeee" (my parents names). So, even in his sleep, he still wants them, dreams about them, says their names...it's a little obsessive I know!

I have one brother, Jacob, who is married to Leslie. They have two gorgeous kiddos, Bella and Isaiah. Jacob is the best husband and father you'll ever meet. I'm so lucky to have such a great brother. Leslie is absolutely drop dead gorgeous and is just so much fun to be around. She's always laughing and everyone loves her (and stares at her). Bella is the spitting image of Leslie and a social butterfly... Isaiah reminds me of an old soul at heart and smarter than any kid i've ever met. I love those two!

My parents Becky and Joe have been married for 30 years. They are the most giving people you'll ever meet. Everyone loves them and wants them around, including me! They raised us well without being strict parents, and we still managed to turn out ok! LOL

Then there is Me, Tyler and the boys. Tyler still continues to make me laugh everyday and is very easy on the eye. He's smart, fun, funny, handsome, hard working and I can't wait to grow older and older with him. The boys are SO lucky to have him as a dad, as I am to be his wifey. And, Ethan and Ty, what can I say... They give my life meaning and changed my whole perspective of the world. You'll never know how deep your love can go, until you have children, esp. with someone you love.

Ok, this is a little more in depth than I had intended! And long, sorry!

So, that is my family in a nutshell, (immediate anyways, Lord knows how big my family is!)

We had such a great time with Ryan, Marisa, Lexi and Dax! Seriously, such a beautiful family! You can tell just by being around them for an hour, how genuine and kind they are as people and how great of parents they are. You just don't meet many of this kind.

We are so thankful they made the drive from Little Elm to meet with us for this session. The fall colors were everywhere and Dax had fun chasing the squirrels and finding all sorts of sticks! LOL

Well, we thought it was going to be a challenge to match the sisterly love in their photographs that they had taken about 13 years ago, but it was so fun taking shots of these two and all went smoothly. HAHA Janie brought along her daughter, Sami, who was just so fun to photograph. She is such a smart little girl, already full of wisdom and speaks words beyond her years.

We went down to the stockyards in between buildings to escape the brisk air. It was a unique setting for a unique duo! We love you guys and hope your mom enjoys her gift!

Today was my sweet baby boys 1st birthday, Ty. He's such a sweet baby and he'll always be the baby, even though he's so big for his age, that he hasn't felt like a "baby" for a really long time. We decided to all take family pictures at the Botanic Gardens, so there will be more pics to come. For now, just wanted to say Happy Birthday to Ty Ty- our last baby is already growing up so fast! Happy Almost Halloween my fellow Poshers! I just love Halloween and seeing all the cute costumes little kids are in.... Esp. when it's your own kids! Ethan is going to be a pirate this year and Ty a frog. The boys went to their first Costume Party on Friday and Ethan had so much fun. Ty just loved the pizza, didn't care too much about anything else. (Maybe a pig costume would have been more appropriate for him??) Just wanted to share some pics with everyone... Today we had the priviledge of working with a wonderful family who were so kind and fun to work with. We had the shoot at the Botanical Gardens and the weather was perfect other than it being a little too windy. Miera Rose is simply beautiful! She's so smitten over her Grandma and I think it's safe to say her Grandma is equally smitten over her. It's so cute and special to see that kind of bond with grandparents and their grandkids. I think that's what life is all about... Relationships, Love and Family. Suzi, Miera's mom, was out of town, so Grandma brought her for her little, teeny, itty, bitty session. She told us that "she didn't want to fly anymore"... Meaning she wanted her fairy wings off and she wanted to stop the shoot. She was def. the boss, so we did what she said, but we still got a bunch of cute pictures.
